We’re finishing a new film for National Geographic Television. This summer we had a chance to work with some great folks and some nifty camera equipment, including the Phantom High Speed camera, shooting 1000fps. Here’s a frame grab from a Phantom shoot (courtesy of DP Nic Donnelly).

Screening at the UN

A short film we produced for the World Health Organization (WHO) is screening today at the United Nations as part of The International Day of Persons with Disabilities. It’s about the incredible Faustina Urassa of KASI, the Kilimanjaro Association of the Spinally injured. Watch it here.

Son of Terror

We’re pleased to announce a new project, in collaboration with Sarah and Emily Kunstler, called Son of Terror. It’s a documentary about Zak Ebrahim, the American-born son of convicted terrorist El-Sayed Nosair. After twenty years in hiding, Zak has decided to reveal his true identity, confront the legacy of his father’s crimes and launch a personal campaign to promote peace. We’re following Zak on this extraordinary journey, and recently presented the project, to great response, at the IFP’s Independent Film Week.

Full Battle Rattle Nominated for Emmy Award

Full Battle Rattle has been nominated for an Emmy Award for Music and Sound. Its a well deserved nod to Composer Paul Brll for his fantastic score. Congrats due as well to Sound Designer Patrick Cicero and Re-recording Mixer Tom Efinger at Digit Audio.

IFC Media Project

I produced two segments for the upcoming season of the IFC Media Project, airing on the Independent Film Channel in late May. The first, GREED, is about the economy and financial reform. The second, WAR, is about the reconstruction of Afghanistan. It was a chance to work with two great journalists, Charlie LeDuff and Nir Rosen. The show's co-creater Meghan O'Hara has a piece up on the Huffington Post about the WAR segment, and this bizarre flow-chart, which is featured in the segment.

“William Kunstler: Disturbing the Universe,” a documentary I produced about the legendary radical civil rights lawyer, is now playing at New York’s Cinema Village Theater, and opening nationwide this Friday. The film, directed by Kunstler’s daughters Sarah and Emily, is an inspiring and moving account of Kunstler’s life and the efforts of his daughters to reconcile his controversial choices.
